INTENTIONAL NEPAL
Cultural Discovery • Giving Back • April 12–26, 2027
14 Nights / 15 Days
Come experience the heart and soul of Nepal on an intimate journey designed to go far beyond traditional tourism.
Nestled between India and China beneath the magnificent Himalayas, Nepal is a country of ancient temples, colorful prayer flags, sacred monasteries, historic cities, peaceful villages, subtropical jungles and some of the most breathtaking mountain scenery in the world. But what makes Nepal truly unforgettable is its people—their warmth, resilience, spirituality and generous welcome.
HEARTSTEPS JOURNEYS
Heartsteps Journeys is the new travel and tour arm of Heartsteps Foundation, Inc., created to offer cultural and giving-back journeys in the communities we serve. While the Heartsteps Journeys name is new, our experience in Nepal is not.
Heartsteps Foundation founder and president Kathleen McCabe will personally lead the journey. Since her first giving-back trip to Nepal in 2019, Kathleen has returned for seven extended stays and has led groups through this remarkable country, building lasting relationships with schools, monasteries, orphanages, and local communities along the way.
Kathleen will be joined by Diane Savard of ELEVT, a Canadian charitable organization and longtime partner in our work in Nepal. In-country logistics and ground support will be provided by Sarki Sherpa of Soul Himalaya Treks & Tours, based in Kathmandu.
Together, we’ll experience the highlights of Nepal—from Buddhist monasteries and UNESCO World Heritage sites to Himalayan mountain views, wildlife and rescued Asian elephants, ancient cities, local artisans and village life. We’ll also spend meaningful time with students and teachers, experiencing Nepal not simply as tourists, but through genuine connections with the people who live there.
