The Call Forward is an intimate, inspiring day for women to reconnect with themselves, discover the gifts and talents within, and explore what might be possible next.

And for women who aren’t yet sure of all that’s possible, this is a day to explore, connect with others, and set intentions for what might come next.

A DAY DESIGNED FOR DISCOVERY

The morning begins amid the beautiful garden setting of One Paseo Living with lavender scrubs and oils from Ali Wolff of Keys Creek Lavender, sound bowls with Cindy Cuccia and Jennie Christianson, a tea ceremony with Diana Hertz, and light breakfast fare and coffee.

Yoga and movement specialist Michelle Jones will awaken the body through gentle movement and breath, followed by yoga instructor Rebecca Littlejohn with a guided meditation to quiet the mind and set an intention for the day.

Keynote Speaker Anna Quigley

Transformational Coach, The Call Forward

Anna will inspire participants to explore their individual gifts, talents, and sense of purpose. Her keynote will be followed by a guided journaling experience, providing time for personal reflection and the opportunity to explore the work more deeply during an afternoon breakout.

THE ART OF NOURISHMENT

Chef Supannee of San Diego Thai Catering will demonstrate the preparation and beautiful presentation of her healthy Thai spring rolls, followed by a delicious Thai buffet lunch.

Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available.

AFTERNOON BREAKOUT EXPERIENCES

Participants will select two intimate breakout experiences at registration:

🎨 Vision Bodies — Kira Carrillo Corser, Compassionate Art
A creative exploration of how we see ourselves and what we envision for our lives.

📖 Continuing The Call Forward — Anna Quigley
A deeper exploration of the discoveries and journaling begun during the morning keynote.

🌍 Conscious Tourism & Giving Back — Kathleen McCabe, Heartsteps Journeys
Discover how travel, service, and meaningful connections around the world can lead to a greater sense of purpose.

✨ Seeing Yourself in Another Light — Diane Coale, Wearable Artist & Designer
Diane shares her journey from career executive to discovering her passion for wearable art and creating a dynamic clothing line from repurposed, embellished, and upcycled garments.

✍️ Making Meaning with Words: A Practice — Jayne Braman
A creative writing experience using words and reflection as pathways to personal discovery.

🌿 Finding Your Glow — Jennie Christensen, Goddess Supply Co., with Rebecca Littlejohn
A restorative experience combining natural skincare, self-care, and gentle facial and neck lymphatic drainage techniques. Drainage techniques.

🗿 Shaping a New Life: From Executive to Sculptor — Julia Rasor, whose discovery of an inner artistic talent during the pandemic opened the door to an entirely new passion.

A SPECIAL GIFT 🎁

Every participant will receive a hardcover copy of The Beauty of Purposeful Living by Judith Conant Chase, a photo-rich expression of one woman’s journey trekking through Nepal.

MUSICAL FINALE 🎵

The day culminates with a live concert by Patch & Maggi, an accomplished San Diego-based duo recently nominated by the San Diego Music Awards, followed by a closing circle of reflection and connection.

A DAY WITH A GREATER PURPOSE ✨

100% of event proceeds benefit the Liz Jamieson-Dunne Women’s Empowerment Scholarship, established in honor of Heartsteps Foundation co-founder and vice president Liz Jamieson-Dunne.

Liz was particularly passionate about encouraging Kenyan tribal women to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams. The first scholarship will be awarded to a woman in Kenya and announced during The Call Forward retreat.
